AKWF (Qld) was one of the founding state Associations (Qld Kung Fu Association) that, along with NSW & Victoria, formed the Australian Kung Fu Federation in 1984.

Queensland has played an active role in the promotion of events, accreditation and Martial Arts since it's inception.

Over the past 21 years Queensland has hosted many State and regional events.

Queensland Branch Newsletter

A newsletter is published quarterly and distributed to all Queensland members via email or mail. All back copies of the newsletters can be sourced here.
 

AKWF Qld. Functions

The committee meets bi monthly and the dates of meetings for the year will be available each month with the first meeting for 2006 being in February.

Committee members are welcome to attend on a bi monthly basis in the Galleria and all meetings are held at (CKFA) 963 Stanley St. East Brisbane.

The committee strives for the promotion of Kung fu & Tai Chi throughout all its member organisations.

State Events - Queensland

The planning of State Titles has commenced and it is anticipated that the first event will be held on 15th July 2006. The venue is THE SOUTHPORT SCHOOL Winchester St. Southport, Qld.

National Coaching Accreditation Courses in Queensland

Queensland has a strong history of turning out many fully accredited Wushu Instructors through our NCAS program.

The AKWF continually ensure the quality of its instructors are accredited through the AKWF. This ensures that all of our instructors are:

  • Experienced

  • Nationally Recognised

  • Have Risk Management Policies in place

  • Blue Cards

  • First Aid Qualified and

  • Fully Accredited by AuSport
